Zhejiang Canned Food Industry Association (Abbreviated as ZCFIA), being established on July,1995 is the only organization of canned food industry in Zhejiang. It now has 56 member units including the main canned food production and business enterprises, canned food processing equipment manufacturer, materials supply and management in canned food industry in Zhejiang. The highest level unit of ZCFIA is member representative committee which is responsible by the board of directors led by president. The permanent organization is secretariat which is located in Hangzhou. The association represents the common interests of all member units and it is targeted to promote development of canned food industry in Zhejiang and serves for canned food industry and its member units as well. Main Functions: 1.   Carry out an industry investigation and research on industrial and regional economy development, and provide suggestions and opinions to the government on economic policies and legislation; 2.    Organize statistic work, collection, analysis, research and issuance of industry information under authorization of administrative department of the government; 3.    Edit professional books and materials and conduct consultant; 4.    Organize personnel, technical and professional training; 5.    Organize an exhibition and trade fair; 6.    Participate in quality management and supervision under approval of government; 7.    Guide and assist enterprises to improve operation and management; 8.    Organize the appraisal, promotion and application of scientific and technological achievements; 9.    Make technical exchanges, economic and trade cooperation at   home and abroad; 10.Participate in drafting industry standards and organize the    implementation and standardize industry activities, coordinate     price conflicts in the industry and maintain a fair competition; 11. Reflect desires of member units coordinate relationship of    member units and maintain their legal rights; 12. Participate in drafting and revising industry plans, and conduct preliminary proof and examination on investment and development, key technology innovation and import projects; 13. Participate in drafting and revising national standard and industry standard; 14. Participate in issuance of permit certificates of production and business , and qualification examination; 15. Develop the industry and public wealth affairs; 16. Undertake the other missions entrusted by government. Canned food is one of the main export products in Zhejiang and sells to many countries in the world. Canned food in china is both good in quality and cheap in price and has a huge potential to expand export. To promote development of canned food industry, China Canned Food Industry Association wishes to establish contacts with relative organizations, chambers of commerce, production and business enterprises as well as science and technology units so as to make constant exchanges and cooperation, increase mutual understanding and  exchange of information, create trade opportunities and provide hygiene, nutritious and healthy canned food for human society.
